Upright Channel Park

Upright Channel Park is north of Lopez Village and about 3.4 miles from the Ferry Landing.  It has a lovely walk though alder trees ending at a sandy beach near Flat Point.  There are picnic tables and a grand old big leaf maple tree.  The beach provides access to public tidelands that extend east and north to Odlin Park and to the west and then about ¼ of a mile south of Flat Point.  If walking to Odlin Park be very careful of the tides and respect private property.  Note that a Washington State Discover Pass or One-Day Pass is required.  They can be purchased online at: https://store.discoverpass.wa.gov/  The One-Day Pass will be sent by email and can be printed out for immediate use.  “If you are unable to print, write the transaction number and date on a piece of paper in large bold print and display it on your car's dashboard.”
